2026 Summer Camp registration is now open!
Join us for camp in Laytonville, CA from July 11 to July 25, 2026.
The St. George Pathfinders camp for girls (belochki) and boys (volchata) (ages 7-11) is held on our quiet forested property near Laytonville, about 4 hours north of San Francisco. The property includes a commercial kitchen, outdoor dining room, first aid station, above-ground pool with deck, indoor shower station, pond, playing fields, private creek, and several camping areas for scouts, staff and visitors. Each camping area includes wooden platforms for tents, outdoor sinks, and toilets. We have first-aid trained staff who are on-site for the duration of camp to dispense medication and provide any needed first aid care, along with administrative, kitchen and maintenance personnel.
At the beginning of camp, children meet their camp leader, are introduced to other campers and settle into their tent accommodations. Each camp is supervised by a scouts leader and an assistant (more depending on the number of campers.) During the day, campers follow a well-planned and themed program. The busy schedule includes morning exercises, raising the flag, learning scouting skills, enjoying fun competitions, working on rank advancement, playing games, crafting, swimming, going on short hikes and creek walks, and traveling off-site on local field trips. In the evenings, children enjoy singing songs and performing skits around the campfire, stargaze, or play games. We serve three well-balanced meals per day in our outdoor dining hall, plus an afternoon snack. Parents and family may visit their campers over the middle weekend, stay in the visitor camping area and join meals, watch the Saturday afternoon Olympics, and attend the evening campfire.

About Us
St. George Pathfinders originated in Russia in 1909. Our Northern California chapter, founded in 1950, carries on the tradition of mentoring youth in traditional scouting skills, strong moral character, citizenship, and Russian heritage. We hold monthly gatherings during the school year including hikes, cultural events, service projects, and scout holidays. Scouts meet by age group (cubs 7-11, scouts 12-18) or all together. Every summer we run a two-week camp.
Membership
Membership dues are collected on an annual basis. Dues fund programs during the year like St. George's Picnic, Vystavka and Mother's Day and cover administrative costs for our Druzhina and the ZAO otdel. Your support is greatly appreciated!
